About Us

Welcome to St Clare Parish. Our first Mass was celebrated on August 14, 1913 with 36 people in attendance.

Now, almost a hundred years later, we serve over 1,000 families.

As the mission statement says, we invite you to share and celebrate the transforming power of God's love.

To SHARE in the programs and celebrations we offer.

To share our time, talent and treasure in service to one another and those in need.

To share your hopes and dreams, your heartaches and sorrows as we journey home with Christ to the Father.

To CELEBRATE the sacraments, the births and deaths, the weddings and funerals,

the new jobs and new homes which make up the fabric of our lives as Catholics.

To celebrate our children through religious education and St. Clare School and Pre-school.

Our prayer is that your sharing and celebrating with us will unleash

Christ's transforming power for the building of His Kingdom in southwest Portland.
